Born on February 17, 2004, in Patna, Bihar, Harshit Shankar is an accomplished flautist who discovered his passion for the flute at an early age under the guidance of his father, Shri Anil Shankar. Harshit’s journey in music has been marked by dedication and a deep-rooted love for classical Indian music. Now based in Mumbai, he has the honor of training under esteemed maestros, including Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia Ji, Pt. Rakesh Chaurasia Ji and Pt. Rajendra Prasanna Ji.

With over 15 years of experience, Harshit has developed a refined, expressive style that shines in both solo and ensemble performances. Harshit’s musical prowess was evident even in his first performance at just six years old, in the 1st grade. Since then, his path has been one of constant learning and achievement, crowned by his role as a member of the Raaga Fusion Band, where he merges traditional sounds with contemporary music, creating unique, emotive compositions.

Harshit’s repertoire extends from traditional Indian classical music to innovative, cross-genre explorations. His performances are known for their soulful quality, which resonates with audiences, conveying both joy and introspection. As he performs or contributes to musical compositions, he aims to evoke powerful emotions, fostering a deep connection with his listeners.
